Based in the Philadelphia suburbs, XMS has been building software solutions for commercial, government and vertical market applications since 1990.  We deliver powerful software solutions in deceptively simple packages.  These solutions work in the real world, with real organizations, with very little maintenance, and within real budgets. 

We place enormous value on the relationships we have built over the years with strategic customers and business partners.  We encourage you to explore these.

We place no value on trendiness.  While other software companies are blowin' in the winds of the latest fad du jour, XMS remains committed to tried and true principles of software engineering.  The names change, the platforms change, but the basics of ones and zeroes don't change. We adopt the latest and "greatest" tools and approaches when they make sense -- after they have proven themselves to us, and when they offer real value. 

This does not mean that we are a stodgy company that lives in the past.  Au contraire.  We develop innovative technology that works as well as it does precisely becausewe don't follow the crowd. Many other software companies simply do not have the confidence to evaluate technologies by themselves. Or they believe they will be "behind the times" if they are not on the bleeding edge of every new development tool that is reviewed in a trade magazine. So they waste a lot of time learning how to use unnecessary and often counterproductive techniques, just because someone important decided it was the new way to work.

We believe the quality of what we do is not based on the latest development gizmo, but on ...well, the quality of what we do.  The quality and innovation in a piece of software is a function of the experience, creativity and skill of the people who developed it. If a new development platform enhances those things, we use it. If it tries to make us lemmings, we reject it.

The results show. In software that works. That doesn't depend on tens of thousands of dollars of other software to do its job. That doesn't kill other software on the machine where it's installed. That doesn't slow the machine to a crawl.  That your IT people can literally install and forget.

This is what we do.  And if that means we're not trendy, we wear our untrendiness as a badge of honor. Because results count.
