What is EZPick?

EZPick is a cross-platform app that creates picks for lottery games, with optional 3D animation. With EZPick, you can build lists of numbers for office lottery pools, and share them through E-Mail or social networks.

Is EZPick free?

Yes. There are currently no "in-app purchase" options either. It will display ads on some platforms, however.

What's new in Version 2?

Lots! The most important new feature is "Create Your Own" games, where you get to build your own draw-style lottery game, and then watch it in action. But we added many other new features, including the ability to tune the animation to the performance of your device. See the Settings option.

Can I buy lottery tickets with EZPick?

No. EZPick is just for fun, and is not affiliated with any real-world lotteries.

Can I use EZPick to create picks for real lotteries?

Yes. For legal reasons, EZPick cannot use the names of real lottery games because most of the names are trademarked. But EZPick presets generally correspond to real lottery games. It is easy to find the one that interests you because EZPick presets are organized by state. If you can't find exactly what you want, Version 2 lets you create one.

How do I identify games?

EZPick game names generally include the parameters of the lottery. For example “5 of 69 + 1” means that the lottery consists of 5 picks out of 69 balls, plus an extra, separate pick. Players of a very popular national lottery might recognize those parameters.

Also, for Version 2 (and also 1.0, if you update the lottery data from the Settings page), we moved all common daily draw games (e.g., "Pick 3", "Pick 4", etc.) to the "National" category. Most of these games are the same, and it is easier to get to them this way.

I can’t find the game that interests me.

EZPick currently does not support “Keno” type games, games that involve playing cards, the “2 by 2” games that a few states currently offer, or any game that involves picking more than 10 numbers, or picking numbers greater than 99. We will consider supporting these games as demand warrants.

How do I generate a lot of picks for an office pool?

Select the EZPick lottery game that you want, and then select the "Quick Picks" option. The app will generate a list of 12 sets of picks and let you share them through whatever means your device supports.

How does the “Juju” option work?

EZPick lets you optionally use a lucky number. If you turn on this feature, EZPick will use your lucky number as one of the picks. It will also use your lucky number as the “seed” for its number generating system. So all numbers in the game are affected in some way by the “Juju” effect.

Can I create my own lottery games?

Yes! Starting in Version 2.

How can I make the simulation faster, slower or smoother?

You can adjust four settings on the Settings page to control animation speed and smoothness, as well as the rendering quality and rotation speed of the lottery balls. Note that the animation speed will vary slightly with the number of balls in the lottery and the smoothness setting.

Because EZPick is for fun and not intended to be strictly realistic (it uses its own "physics"), you can make the animations run in slow motion with highly realistic lottery balls, or you can choose very fast, almost cartoonish effects. It's up to you.

Why does it take a few seconds for the 3D simulation to start?

This is mainly an issue on older mobile devices. EZPick works best on devices with quad core processors. For improved realism, EZPick generates a unique, random 3D simulation for every new game. This is much more complicated than the simple "one size fits all" animations that you see on lottery web sites. As you might expect, lotteries with 10 balls load much faster than lotteries with 80 balls.

Is EZPick available for other platforms?

It is available for Android and iOS, both phones and tablets.
